While we were gone over the weekend, my landlord's daughter had her DH and BIL come over and fix our bathroom. The toilet had leaked and ruined the floor underneath. I had to post more than one pic because it gives a total view of the botched job. I know we're only renters but dayum! The BIL is supposedly a contractor but if this is an example of his work, he can't be a very successful one!
This is how they left the bathtub. You can't really see too well, but it's filthy! This is where I bathe my child for crying out loud! Why would you put a plunger in it???
The pic below is the tile that was laid and the new baseboards. They put down those self-adhesive tiles OVER the cruddy linoleum. And as you can see, it wasn't done very well at all. The baseboards aren't right either. The BIL is supposed to come back and paint them. I can only imagine how much paint he's going to get all over the floor and walls.

Oh sweety--I can relate. We rented before we bought our house, and the landlord would not fix anything. Our septic system continually flooded the backyard, and there was water behind the walls in the bathroom so all of the shower tiles kept falling out. We only had one bathroom so we were basically SOL...until we bought our house that is. He obviously doesn't have kids, or that plunger would not have been in the tub--have to say that I admire Montana's taste seeing that she likes Spongebob!!!
OMG Susan, I would have been livid!! Make sure to send your landlord the pictures.
BTW, my DH fixes things the same way, DRIVES ME NUTS! He loves to cook though.
